This is our Podcast. We're a Bible believing Church meeting at Barncroft Primary School, Havant, Hampshire, UK
28-01-2018
This teaching is our 36th and final session in our verse-by-verse study of the Book of Genesis by pastor Barry – given as part of our family service on 28th January 2018.
At the close of this study, we briefly look at the panorama of history, from the wonder of God’s original creation to the time when God’s walk with man will be restored inRevelation 21-22.
All that we have seen, as we have journeyed through this book, has been the introduction to God’s amazing plan of Salvation that came from the heart of God before time began.
This book begins in Divine glory, as the Godhead create the heavens and the earth, but ends in a coffin in Egypt – the result of sin and the curse.
The important lesson we learn from this chapter is that we, like Jacob and Joseph are just sojourning in a strange land. Egypt was not their home and they knew that one day God would deliver them and taken them back to their land. We too, are just sojourning here. This world is not our home, our citizenship is in heaven (Phil 3:20).
I will hold on to the hand of my Savior
And I will hold on with all my might
I will hold loosely to things that are fleeting
And hold on to Jesus, I will hold on to Jesus for life
You can listen to the audio on this web page, or save it for listening to later. We have also made available the Powerpoint slides (in PDF format) that outline the key points of this study.
We hope and pray this teaching will bless you and encourage you to undertake your own personal study and adventure in God’s Word!
